The 4th of July here in Jefferson is a Norman Rockwell painting come to life. Some of the highlights are a cake auction to benefit the library and an ice cream making contest. The Shreveport Municipal Concert Band plays patriotic music at Otstott Park that echoes throughout downtown Jefferson. The "Fireworks Fantazmagoria" begins at 9:30 pm over Jefferson's Big Cypress bayou.
Here at the inn we host an indoor picnic with fried chicken and all the trimmings for our guest and friends.
